Cass Sculpture Foundation
Cass Sculpture Foundation was established in 1992 by Wilfred and Jeanette Cass. Set within twenty-six acres of West Sussex countryside, CASS is a unique not-for-profit organisation which aims to provide artists with exceptional opportunities.
It is composed of exhibition spaces, an archive, an educational resource and a commissioning body. Committed to fostering new, as well as established talent, the organization commissions new works every year. The woodland site is consequently home to a constantly evolving display that has included sculptures by Anthony Caro, Eduardo Paolozzi and Tony Cragg.
All of the works on display are available for sale, with proceeds split equally between the artist and the charity in order to facilitate new commissions. Each year, the organization invites a selection of carefully researched artists to submit proposals in the form of drawings and maquettes (small working models) for consideration. These proposals are then incorporated into the Archive, an onsite resource that is available to view by appointment.
Cass Sculpture Foundation is open from the 14th April – 16th December 2017, the gates open at 10:30am and last entry is 4:30pm. Please visit the website for information regarding the upcoming events programme.
