Churches
Many churches in Sussex are open to the public on a regular basis for visitors to enjoy. They represent an architectural picture of the history of the county. The majority are Grade 1 listed buildings, but all have a history which is unique to the community and the people who care for them. Some are over 1,000 years old, whereas others date from more modern times. The fact that they are here for visitors to enjoy is a great testimony to the devotion of faithful people through the ages and to the present congregation and those who minster to them. If you are coming along distance it is recommended that you telephone in advance to ensure the church is open at the time of your visit.
