West Sussex is an extremely photogenic county and many visitors go home with memorable images on their cameras but if you want to see the work of professional photographers, historic archive pictures or just want to look at a gallery of aspects of life for people living, working and enjoying themselves visit the Sussex Image Library.

This online facility gives you immediate access to a wide selection of images, including rights free pictures, across Sussex and the surrounding regions.

You are free to browse, but must first register in make selections and download images, including the free-to-use pictures.

The Sussex Image Library incorporates the photo archives of local authorities and government agencies across the county, including West Sussex County Council, The South Downs Joint Committee, Arun District Council and Horsham District Council. The library is also a showcase of creative work for more than 30 professional photographers based across the South of England.

Images can be purchased for immediate download, or can be sent via e.mail or on CD/DVD. Registered users pay for pictures with a credit card at the time of download. Those clients with an account pay for usage only, as per terms agreed.
