Arundel Castle and Gardens

Set high on a hill, this great castle commands the landscape with magnificent views across the South Downs and the river Arun. Built at the end of the 11th century, it has been the family home of the Dukes of Norfolk and their ancestors for nearly 1,000 years. There are superb collections of furniture, paintings, armour & weapons, Victorian gardens and the Collector Earls Garden. Opening Times: Sat 31st March- Sun 4th Nov 2012. Tues-Sun incl. Aug Mons and BHol Mons. Fitzalan Chapel, Gardens, Grounds and Castle Shop 1000-1700. Castle Keep, Restaurant and Coffee Shop 1000-1630. Main Castle Rooms 1200-1700.

Length of Visit: 4+ hours. Coach Parking: Free parking for coaches visiting the Castle in public car park opposite Castle gate.
