windmills & watermills:

Sussex has some of the best-preserved windmills in the UK, a number of which are open to the public and have had the original working mechanism restored. Watermills, too, provide a fascinating glimpse of power before the age of electricity in every home. National Mills Weekend 2012 is Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May. Details of Sussex Mills open to visitors that weekend can be found at: www.sussexmillsgroup.org.uk
