West Blatchington Windmill
West Blatchington Windmill is one of the finest mill museums in the country. This is a fascinating museum of milling and industrial heritage interest for the whole family.
An unusual smock mill, built on a barn complex circa 1820 on a tall flint and brick tower and ceasing work around 1897.
The original machinery remains as the heart of a fascinating museum of milling, displaying items rescued from other Sussex mills set over five floors.
Open: National Mills and Heritage Sunday. Sundays and Bank Holidays from May to September 2.30pm to 5pm.
Entry by admission charge, wheelchair access to ground floor, teas available and groups at other times by appointment.
