Classic Car Summer Show at Amberley Museum – 29th July 2018

Come and indulge in a feast of classic nostalgia at Amberley Museum’s Classic Car Summer Show on Sunday 29th July.  With hundreds of classic cars on display around the museum, starting with the hey days of the 1950’s optimism with cars like the Jaguar XK150, which in 1958 was the fastest car in the world.  Travel through the years to see how cultural influences changed car designs, and relive the cars from your childhood.

Cars ranging from a Morris Minor, through to cars that you never see on the road but were made in their thousands: Austin 1100’s, Ford Escorts, and specialist cars will also be attending including Matra, Corvette, Pontiac, and Panther to name but a few.  Visiting car clubs will have presence, including a group of fourteen Triumph TR’s, and a club travelling from the Isle of Wight with a range of models.  An added attraction of cavalcade of the cars is planned to take place from 4pm.

Amberley Museum is a remarkable heritage site in the Sussex South Downs, with 36 acres to explore and over 40 exhibit buildings to visit, focusing on industrial and transport history. Take a ride on the narrow gauge railway and historic bus. Exhibits include the telecommunications hall, electricity hall, working printshop, lime kilns, steam engines and more.
