The Museum is a wonderful place to visit at Easter. From our traditional Easter weekend to family-friendly Easter activities – there’s something for everyone!
Easter marks the start of our main season, when the longer days and warmer weather can be enjoyed against the stunning backdrop of our 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park.
EASTER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
Activities run from Monday 8 – Easter Monday 22 April 2019.
Try craft activities and play traditional games. If the weather is kind, take a wagon ride for a small donation to the Museum. You can also see our heavy horses, as well as Southdown lambs and sheep, our working oxen and other traditional farm animals.
EASTER AT THE MUSEUM AND THE EASTER BAKE
From Good Friday 19 – Easter Monday 22 April 2019 visitors can experience traditional Easter preparations and celebrations, which begin with the traditional Good Friday bake in Winkhurst Tudor kitchen.
Activities vary each daily and include egg painting, bonnet making and an Easter bonnet parade in the Market Square on Easter Monday.
