‘Summer Sunday’ featuring the Nevada Street Six

The second Summer Sunday at the Weald & Downland Living Museum’s Summer Season for 2019, featuring The Nevada Street Six

Sunday 4th August 2019

The Nevada Street Six is a specially expanded version of The Nevada Street Four, a quartet of musical friends whose initial public performances were in a bar in Nevada Street, Greenwich. Members of the band boast considerable and varied professional experience: Rico Tomasso (trumpet), Malcolm Earle-Smith (trombone), Richard White (reeds) and Colin Good (piano) toured and recorded extensively with Bryan Ferry’s Orchestra and can be heard on the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby; Malcolm Sked (sousaphone) has for many years appeared with the legendary Bob Kerr’s Whoopee Band; Stephen Henderson (washboard) is a ‘proper’ orchestral percussionist – legit, no less!
