Wonderful Wednesdays are fun-packed activity days for families, which take place every Wednesday in August. Our theme this August is the senses – sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste – with a different sense featuring each week.
An activities list will be uploaded to the website the day before and will be available on arrival. Some activities have a small charge, which will be clearly indicated on the flyer.
There are lots of opportunities to get hands-on and activities will vary every week, so come back and try something new! Activities run from 11am-4pm each Wednesday in August and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please wear clothes suitable for playing outdoors.
ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Museum’s collection of 50 rescued historic buildings, set in 40 acres of parkland, are great places to explore. Learn how food was prepared in the Tudor kitchen, see how a watermill works, watch the blacksmith at work, and spot the traditional farm animals – there are Shire and Percheron horses, Sussex oxen, chickens and geese. The Museum’s waterside café will be open, plus there are indoor and outdoor picnic areas. Dogs on leads are welcome and there is ample free parking. Regular entry charges apply and the Museum will be open from 10.30am to 6pm.
