Rural Life Weekends: Springtime

SATURDAY 14th APRIL TO SUNDAY 15th APRIL 2018
10.30am – 5.30pm

Join us for the first in our series of Rural Life Weekends, which focuses on how people of the past would have lived at this time of the year.

Yes, it looks green and lovely, yet early in the season their diet was meagre and preserved supplies from the previous year would have been running very low.

Through demonstrations, short talks and informal chats you can find out what tasks would have been important to the inhabitants of our homes at this time of year with so much promise.

INFORMATION FOR VISITORS

Please note that all demonstrations, talks and performances are subject to change. If there is something that you are particularly keen to see, please contact us on the morning of your visit on 01243 811020 or email office@wealddown.co.uk.

Our waterside café will be open, plus there are indoor and outdoor picnic areas. Dogs on leads are welcome and there is ample free parking. Please note that the Museum is a no-smoking site.

Regular entry charges apply (free for annual members) and the Museum will be open from 10.30am to 6.00pm.
