Special cruises onboard ‘Richmond’ from late February to November include our very popular Fish and Chip and Ploughman’s Lunch cruises, plus new for 2019 we’re offering Pie and Mash and Afternoon Tea cruises. For example, on our Pie and Mash cruises, you’re offered a choice of three pies, mash, mushy peas and gravy from Chichester’s own award-winning Turner’s Pies, a vanilla ice cream from Caroline’s Dairy in Birdham, tea or coffee and one glass of wine, real ale or fruit juice.
Richmond offers our ever-popular Easter Bunny trips, fun for all the family. Private hire is available for special family celebrations or corporate events.
Both boats offer a lift and Kingfisher has an accessible WC.
At our Canal Basin, our waterside Cafe offers customers a warm welcome. There’s a wide choice of drinks, mouth-watering cakes and light refreshments. There is a lift to the first floor seating area, an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities.
At the Cafe, you can hire a rowing boat, and obtain licences for paddleboards, canoes and fishing.
Following our towpath, enjoy a level 4 mile walk along the Canal from the Basin to Chichester Harbour. One of the most beautiful views on the Canal is from Hunston Bridge towards Chichester, painted by JMW Turner in 1828.
